Kettle Operator – Ferndale, MI
Shift: M-Friday (12pm – 8pm)
One of the nation’s leading makers of salsa and hummus is looking for good, hard working people to join their team and work towards becoming a long-term employee.
Objective:
This person would need to be able to lift in excess of 50 lb possibly up to 70lb
– attention to detail
– follow policy and procedure is imperative
– some kind of machine op skill are a plus
– handling of chemicals
Job Description:
Associates start with the basics of food production and/ or packaging. This includes preparing ingredients, and packaging salsa and hummus products. Training and team-oriented supervision is provided to make sure you’re learning how to produce safely and effectively.
Shift and Hourly Pay:
2nd- 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Lots of opportunity for OT and opportunity for growth within the facility
Location:
Ferndale, MI (with parking and bus route convenience)
Environment and Physical Demands
Cold and wet conditions (40 degrees F)
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Perform repetitive lifting up to 30lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PPE is required and provided by the facility. This includes water-proof steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, smock and hairnet/beard guard.
